FACTCAB
is an Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) integrated into a passive,
robust, secure & IP rated metal street side cabinet. It is
designed to allow flexibility for the patching and
testing of the fibre cables in a
controlled
manner. The ODF
is a fully scalable solution with a max capacity of 960F.
The cabinet internal design is
based on the Commscope FACT (Mk2) system. The shelves are high
density and rear mounted which allows full accessibility for the
termination of OSP cables and Patch-cords. The ODF is designed
for a fixed patchcord
length for all patching operations and includes an overlength
manager which is
both simple an intuitive to use.
FACTCAB is designed for the
Irish market and replaces the FIST CAB2 & FIST
GPS2 which was also an
integrated cabinet ODF system.
The cabinet is dual wall construction manufactured from powder coated galvanised mild steel. It is supplied with a separate root system which is normally installed adjacent to JB box, the cabinet is then bolted to the root after the JB box installation is complete. Cables are rooted through two gland plates in the bottom of the cabinet. Cables are sealed using traditional stuffing glands. A lockable access door provides 100mm access to the underside of the gland plates.
